THE GOOD DEEDS ORGANISATION (“the Organisation”)
This is an impartial website run by volunteers and does not publish the names of individuals or organisations.
The Good Deeds Organisation has the single minded intention of sharing and propogating good deeds of genuine interest.
All entries are published in good faith.
We respect the privacy of all individuals who use this website. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This statement does not apply to any websites which may be linked to this website and which are not under our control. We recommend that you check the privacy statements of each linked site you visit.
Except as otherwise set out in these terms and conditions, we will not, without your permission, disclose any information which can be traced to you unless we are entitled or required to do so by law, or if we believe that such action is necessary to protect and/or defend our rights, property or personal safety and those of other users of this website.
We may collect the following data from you:
- information that you provide to us by filling in any online registration form on our site;
- information which you voluntarily disclose to us by email or other means;
- information about your computer including, where available, your IP address, operating system and browser type;
- information about your internet usage obtained using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer.
- We will only collect personal information when you specifically and knowingly provide it to us.
If you are  or under, please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to the Organisation’s website. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
Contributions to the Organisation
By sharing any contribution (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) with the Organisation, you agree to grant to the Organisation, free of charge, permission to use the material in any way it wants (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons) in any media worldwide (including on the Organisation’s site accessed by international users).
Copyright in your contribution will remain with you and this permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material in any way including allowing others to use it.
In order that the Organisation can use your contribution, you confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any laws, that you have the right to give the Organisation permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution.
You shall not post to www.thegooddeedsorganisation.com any message or material that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, threatening, racially or sexually or otherwise discriminatory, offensive, inaccurate, in breach of confidence or a third party’s intellectual property rights or which otherwise includes objectionable material of any kind or nature, that encourages or engages in conduct that could constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.

We will not normally show your full name with your contribution, unless this is necessary. The Organisation may need to contact you for administrative or verification purposes in relation to your contribution.

The Organisation does not accept any liability in respect of the accuracy of the information posted on this website. By using www.thegooddeedsorganisation.com you agree to comply with the following guidelines:

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the Organisation’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence. Subject to the previous statement, in no event will the Organisation be liable for any damages, actions, costs, claims, proceedings, losses or awards whatsoever arising out of or related to this website. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with this website and/or the information contained on the website is to stop using the site.
The contributions are made by the general public and the views expressed are theirs. The Organisation does not necessarily endorse the views expressed by users of the website, nor is the Organisation responsible for any content posted by members of the public or for the content of any third party sites that are accessible through www.thegooddeedsorganisation.com.
